Beschreibung
This desirable 11th Series Super Eight Convertible Coupe was first delivered in Los Angeles via well-known Packard dealer Earle C. Anthony, according to its intact firewall tag. In correspondence on file, past owner Dana Morgan recounts that this Packard was part of the Henry Bragg collection near San Francisco for many years before his family acquired it from Mr. Bragg’s widow in about 1974 in a partially disassembled state. Mark Smith purchased it in 2008 and set about locating some of its missing parts. Within the pages of the file, he describes the Super Eight as a dry, California car with intact original wood.
Today, nearly 90 years since they were built, Classic Era Packards of desirable body styles are very seldom found in good unrestored condition, and this well-preserved Convertible Coupe appears to be one such car. Held in stasis by knowledgeable enthusiasts for the past half century, it is a rare find indeed.
