Under current ownership, Chassis #33 has won three Club Championships and one prior to his ownership in Formula Saloons. After a strong debut season in 1997, the car was updated with the, then, current 1998 aero pack, larger flared front wings (there are spares) and an update to the ECU and dash instrumentation, before being sent to Sweden to campaign the STCC in 1998. However, all the original 1997 kit comes with the car, should the new owner wish to return it exactly to period.

The car was meticulously restored to its original 1997 Vodafone Nissan Racing factory colours/graphics in 2013 by D&B Coachworks, running just one race since the work was carried out. It has clearly been loved and cherished by its passionate owner and is only being offered for sale to fund business expansion commitments. Being a 1997 car, it's interesting to note that, according to our vendor, the electric folding mirrors still work from the steering wheel and they were actually banned after the '97 season, along with the twin balanced 4-pot water-cooled brake callipers also in use for that season only. With several of these unique design features still present and working on the car, this ‘97 example is the one to own.

Eligible for the Super Touring Car Championship, now being run by the HSCC, this car benefits from a very impressive new and used spares package that appears to contain all the bits you might need to run one of these cars effectively. Perhaps it's fair to say Super Tourers do require significant investment to run and maintain which is why you do not want to miss this opportunity as it certainly looks to offer all the support you might need during a competitively fought season. There is simply far too much to list here, but the vendor estimates that there is in the region of £40K worth including a completely dressed spare engine in its Nissan flight box, a collection that has been amassed over the last 13 years. Interested parties should contact Harry Whale on 01926 691141 to go through the parts included and to discuss some pit equipment and original Vodafone Nissan Racing team clothing that can be bought outside of this lot listing after the auction. Altogether, a very serious package.
