Nash Motors, a manufacturer in the USA, ran production of its models from 1916-38. Defined in its success by marketing mid-priced cars for the middle class buyers, its successful release of the Nash Special Six in 1927 came at no surprise. 'To give the buyer more than he paid for'- its iconic slogan between 1920s-1930s.
This example, out of 'John Ivey's' collection in WA, presents in a two-tone black/brown exterior as a cabriolet soft top in its original unrestored condition. Being one of 5000 produced and in 'assembled' condition, the rarity of this example comes with no questions.
Its 6-cylinder 4L engine is powered by a manual transmission and with 22,075 miles against the odometer, its engine has barely been worn in. With similar examples in the US fetching over 45K AUD with triple the Miles, this is a find for any collector.
The interior showcases a pre 30's icon. Its original Walnut steering wheel is in immaculate condition and is a highlight to its factory red leathered interior. For a vehicle of this age in original condition, concludes it has been well kept over the years.
Purchased new by a Nursing Sister from MT Lawley, WA, this vehicle has had 2 owners before making its way to John Ivey's collection in 2013 then to Sydney NSW in 2015. Accompanying this vehicle are photos of this example being registered and original magazine that it's been featured in.
An original 1927 Nash 'Special-six' with genuine miles in this condition, is an unquestionable and necessary addition to all classic car collections.
