The Morris Cowley Six Coupé was part of the Cowley series of cars produced by Morris Motors. The series was first introduced in 1915 and was named after the town of Cowley where the Morris factory was located. The Cowley series was known for its reliability and affordability and was popular with families and small business owners. Launched on August 28, 1933, the Cowley Six replaced the 1934 De Morris Major, retaining the same 1938 six-cylinder side-valve engine but with a new lower chassis. In common with all other Morris cars, the De Cowley now had a synchronized four-speed gearbox, dimmed headlights, hydraulic shock absorbers, leather upholstery, hydraulic brakes, rear fuel tank, direction indicators, safety glass, battery head switches and automatic ignition. A total of 15,470 Cowley's Six were produced. The Coupé version is only a small part of that number. This makes it a rare appearance.

The cars on offer are part of a static collection that has been accumulated over the last 40 years. They are mainly in an unrestored, original but dusty condition. We have not tried to start any of the cars. We have been informed that the engines have been turned, on a regular basis, but the exact condition of the cars and the engines is unknown to us.

Viewing days:

Due to the expected high attendance, you will only be able to visit a viewing day if you purchase an admission ticket. Registration for a viewing day is required.
