Morgan three wheelers were a feature of British motoring, pre-war. They featured a lightweight vee-twin engine with chain final drive and independent front suspension. Various options were available and it was not long before examples were being uprated and modified for the race track. Thanks to their low centre of gravity and remarkable road holding they proved as difficult to overtake as they were to shake off once they had latched on to your tail.
The super sports Aero was introduced in 1928 and was immediately identifiable from earlier models, being longer, lower and sleeker. It was faster too, having a top speed of 80mph. It continued in competition where the earlier models had left off, the Aero capturing International Class records along the way.
