The Minerva AB is really a fantastic appearance. The current owner bought the Minerva in Brussels since 1997. This Minerva is already in the direction of 100 years old, but that can only be noticed by the model. Furthermore, everything is in a very good and original condition.

In 1925 this Minerva was delivered without a body. This means that you had the option to place your own body on the chassis. In this case, Park Ward from England has taken care of this. They built the ‘spider’ bodywork that got a line immediately after the passenger compartment. Usually this type of car had very narrow doors and the driver had to bend over to get out, which is not the case here. The chosen color combination is very special and beautiful: a white polished aluminum bonnet, a red carriage and yellow wheels. In 1925 this Minerva was delivered in London and was bought by a resident from New Zealand. That is where this Minerva spent most of her time. In New Zealand, the Minerva changed owners once before making the return journey to Brussels in 1991. The Minerva stayed with the same owner until 1997 until the current owner ran into this Minerva. At the end of the 90s the ‘Knight Engine’ was completely overhauled.

From 1904 Minerva started to build cars. When the company bought the rights to a new silent engine in 1908, the Knight Engine, it really started to go well. Minerva became known for its luxurious, well-finished, fast, tailor-made cars. Soon the elitist part of the world population knew Minerva. Members of the royal houses of Belgium, Romania, Thailand and India, people of nobility, movie stars and large business leaders such as Henry Ford, artist Anna Boch, drove in a Minerva from Antwerp.

In the automotive world, Minerva was a big name in those years. It was comparable to Rolls Royce. The company had more than 6500 employees, and founder Sylvain de Jong wanted to expand in 1927. Before that, he needed new capital from investors, which diluted his own interest in the company. On 24 October 1929, the New York Stock Exchange crashed. There was a drastic reduction in demand for luxury cars. In addition, Sylvain de Jong died of cancer the previous year.
