Harry Miller was, quite simply, the greatest creative figure in the history of the American racing car.
Miller’s engines dominated American oval-track racing for almost half a century. Most of the speed records which there were to be had on land and water were held at one time or another by those engines. Miller created the school of American thoroughbred engine design, which was faithfully followed by those who sought to outdo him. His attention to detail placed him at a different level to his competitors – even Ettore Bugatti fell prone to plagiarising Miller’s designs. The repeated triumphs of his engineering are testimonial to why the Miller name has become a legend in International motorsport.
According to the notes left by Peter Gregory, this is a Miller-built car for Francis Quinn who had Babe Strapp drive it in mid-west Sprint Car events. Powered by an extremely rar
