Beschreibung

To add to our eclectic stable, we have here a very special car. A Frontline Developments MG B Abingdon Edition. These fabulous cars are made by the very well known chaps from Frontline developments who have, for 20 years, built a very good reputation for re-imagining and improving the British classic MG. Nice enough too is their factory is based at the ex-Benetton Formula 1 facility, a place with fantastic history, in Abingdon.

When our car was built new, she would have cost £130,000 - so not cheap and her performance and specification certainly lives up to this number producing over 300 BHP from a 2.5L 4 cylinder engine mated to a six-speed manual box! Getting you to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds, stopping you very efficiently with 10" ventilated disc brakes all round. There is independent front and rear suspension, power steering, twin stainless steel pipes generating a fabulous sound, larger rear Avon tyres to the front to accommodate the extra power and a few cosmetic enhancements too.

The interior and all that comes with it were redone too, placing leather pretty much everywhere, upgrading the audio-system, seats, steering wheel, and the hood is a lovely Mohair too. It works very well all together, and feels incredible stable and firm inside.

Richard Meaden, writer for many great classic car magazines once said about this car it was "one of the most enjoyable and desirable cars I've driven all year"

From a man who drives the best cars for a living, all the time, it is a great testimony.

Our car was delivered new to the South of France where the first owner only drove to and from his boat in her, quite lovely. Of course the Mohair hood was never really used there for obvious reasons and it resulted in very few miles being put on her, having now just done 5,000 miles from completion.

Now ready and waiting for the next owner to put some very fast miles onto her clock!
