This 1957 MG A was supplied by the Dutch importer Molenaar. Since then it has never left Holland or had a different number plate. In other words, this is an original Dutch MG A. Between 1995 and 2019 this MG A was treated to a full body-off restoration. This very thorough restoration was completed to a high standard. The bodywork and chassis were completely taken back to bare metal before being sprayed in the original “Old English White”. The quality of the paintwork is outstanding and has been kept neatly since restoration. As you would naturally expect with such a thorough restoration, the car is totally rust-free and has correctly aligned body-panels and shut lines. During the restoration the interior trim was completely re-upholstered. The carpets, seats and door panels covers are brand new. The dashboard has also been re-sprayed in “Old English White” and the Smith counters overhauled. A new original steering wheel completes the picture nicely. The new hood shuts securely all-over. A new tonneau cover allows you to use the car on sunny days when the hood is down. The re-chromed wire wheels form the finishing touch. Mechanically this MG A is in very good order. The 4-cylinder engine has been completely rebuilt with the addition of electronic ignition and a stainless steel exhaust. This MG A not only looks the part, it also sounds the part too. The manual 4-speed gearbox has been overhauled and shifts as you would expect. In short this beautifully restored MG A is in excellent condition.
