Der Mercedes-Benz SL600

Der Mercedes-Benz SL der Baureihe R 230 wurde im Juli 2001 in den Deichtorhallen in Hamburg der Presse vorgestellt. Dank einer zum damaligen Zeitpunkt weltweit einzigartigen Kombination modernster elektronischer Fahrwerkssysteme bot er ein herausragendes Fahr-Erlebnis und zugleich ein Höchstmaß an Fahrsicherheit. Er setzte damit Akzente unter den Sportwagen und im Automobilbau. Zur Markteinführung stand zunächst der Typ SL 500 mit einer Leistung von 225 kW (306 PS) zur Verfügung. Im Herbst 2001 gesellte sich der Typ SL 55 AMG mit einem V8-Kompressormotor und 350 kW (476 PS) hinzu. 2002 folgte der Typ SL 350 mit einem 180 kW (245 PS) starkem 3,7-Liter-V6-Motor, und im Januar 2003 stellte Mercedes‑Benz schließlich den SL 600 mit 368 kW (500 PS) starkem 5,5-Liter-V12-Biturbo-Motor als neues Spitzenmodell der Baureihe vor. Zur umfangreichen Serienausstattung des SL gehören beispielsweise lederbezogene Integralsitze samt Memoryfunktion für die elektrische Sitz- und Lenkradverstellung, die zudem noch im elektronischen Zündschlüssel gespeichert ist, Multifunktions-Lenkrad, Klimatisierungs-Automatik und Stereo-Autoradio. Auf Wunsch standen innovative Assistenzsysteme wie der Abstandsregel-Tempomat DISTRONIC, das automatische Notrufsystem TELEAID, das Bedien- und Anzeigesystem COMAND oder die elektronische Reifendruckkontrolle bereit. Leder, Edelholz und Aluminium waren die Materialien, die im Innenraum für SL-typische Exklusivität und Wertanmutung sorgten. Zur Wahl standen zwei Ledersorten, vier hochwertige Zierteile-Varianten und fünf Ausstattungsfarben. Matt glänzender Chrom umrahmte die vier Einzelinstrumente des Cockpits im klassischen Chronometer-Design und trat auch an anderen Details des Interieurs in Erscheinung. Das Design der Baureihe R 230 vereinte über markante Details Tradition und Zukunft. So griffen beispielsweise die Luftöffnungen in den vorderen Kotflügeln ein typisches Merkmal des Typ 300 SL aus den 1950er Jahren auf. Auch die schmalen, flügelähnlichen Profile an diesen seitlichen Luftöffnungen - von den Fachleuten „Finnen" genannt - waren eine Reminiszenz. Die Designer nutzten dieses Stilelement außerdem, um an den Öffnungsgittern in der Motorhaube sportliche Akzente zu setzen. Im Januar 2003 stellte Mercedes-Benz den Typ SL 600 mit 368 kW (500 PS) starkem 5,5-Liter-V12-Biturbo-Motor (M 275) als neues Spitzenmodell der Baureihe vor. Er bot ein höchstes Drehmoment von gewaltigen 800 Newtonmetern, das schon bei 1800/min abrufbereit war und bis 3600/min konstant blieb. Das neu entwickelte Zwölfzylindertriebwerk mit zwei Turboladern, Wasser-Ladeluftkühlung, Dreiventiltechnik, Wechselstrom-Doppelzündung und anderen Hightech-Innovationen zählte zu den modernsten Pkw-Motoren der Welt. Es bot Souveränität in jeder Fahrsituation. Für die Beschleunigung von 0 auf 100 km/h benötigte der Typ SL 600 nur 4,7 Sekunden. Die Höchstgeschwindigkeit war elektronisch auf 250 km/h begrenzt. Äußerlich war der Typ SL 600 erkennbar durch eine Kühlermaske mit dezenten Chromapplikationen, silber lackierte Bremssättel, V12-Embleme auf den seitlichen Lufteinlässen, Bi-Xenon-Scheinwerfer und exklusive Leichtmetallräder. An der Vorderachse kamen Reifen der Größe 255/40 R 18 zum Einsatz, an der Hinterachse solche der Dimension 285/35 R 18.

Bei dem hier angebotenen Fahrzeug handelt es sich um einen SL600 im absoluten Neuwagenzustand mit unglaublichen 300 Kilometern Laufleistung seit Auslieferung. Dieser Wagen war als reines Präsentationsfahrzeug die größte Mercedes Niederlassung in Kuwait vorgesehen und wurde daher ausschließlich im Showroom der Niederlassung ausgestellt, bevor der Eigentümer der Niederlassung den Wagen in seine private Sammlung übernahm, aus welcher nun der Ankauf erfolgte. The Mercedes-Benz SL600

The Mercedes-Benz SL of the R 230 series was presented to the press in July 2001 at the Deichtorhallen in Hamburg. Thanks to a combination of state-of-the-art electronic chassis systems that was unique worldwide at the time, it offered an outstanding driving experience and maximum driving safety at the same time. It set new standards among sports cars and in automotive engineering. The SL 500 was initially launched with an output of 225 kW (306 hp). In the fall of 2001, it was joined by the SL 55 AMG with a V8 supercharged engine and 350 kW (476 hp). This was followed in 2002 by the SL 350 with a 180 kW (245 hp) 3.7-liter V6 engine, and in January 2003 Mercedes-Benz finally presented the SL 600 with a 368 kW (500 hp) 5.5-liter V12 biturbo engine as the new top model in the series. The extensive standard equipment of the SL included, for example, leather-covered integral seats including a memory function for the electric seat and steering wheel adjustment, which was also stored in the electronic ignition key, multifunction steering wheel, automatic climate control and stereo car radio. Innovative assistance systems such as DISTRONIC proximity control, the TELEAID automatic emergency call system, the COMAND operating and display system and electronic tire pressure monitoring were available on request. Leather, precious wood and aluminum were the materials used in the interior to ensure SL-typical exclusivity and a sense of value. There was a choice of two types of leather, four high-quality trim variants and five equipment colors. Matt, shiny chrome framed the four individual instruments of the cockpit in the classic chronometer design and also appeared on other details of the interior. The design of the R 230 series combined tradition and the future through striking details. For example, the air vents in the front fenders picked up on a typical feature of the Type 300 SL from the 1950s. The narrow, wing-like profiles on these side air openings - called "fins" by the experts - were also a reminiscence. The designers also used this styling element to add sporty accents to the opening grilles in the engine hood. In January 2003, Mercedes-Benz presented the SL 600 model with a 368 kW (500 hp) 5.5-liter V12 biturbo engine (M 275) as the new top model in the series. It offered a maximum torque of an enormous 800 Newton meters, which was already available at 1800 rpm and remained constant up to 3600 rpm. The newly developed twelve-cylinder power unit with two turbochargers, water intercooling, three-valve technology, alternating current dual ignition and other high-tech innovations was one of the most modern passenger car engines in the world. It offered sovereignty in every driving situation. To accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h, the SL 600 took just 4.7 seconds. The top speed was electronically limited to 250 km/h. Externally, the Type SL 600 was recognizable by a radiator grille with subtle chrome applications, silver-painted brake calipers, V12 emblems on the side air intakes, bi-xenon headlights and exclusive alloy wheels. The front axle is fitted with 255/40 R 18 tires, the rear axle with 285/35 R 18 tires.

The vehicle offered here is an SL600 in absolutely new condition with an incredible 300 kilometers since delivery. This car was intended as a pure presentation vehicle the largest Mercedes branch in Kuwait and was therefore exhibited exclusively in the showroom of the branch, before the owner of the branch took the car into his private collection, from which now the purchase took place.
