In the prestigious line of “SLs”, the R129 generation succeeded the R107 in March 1989. Produced for nearly fifteen years, it established itself as a timeless aesthetic success. The design by Bruno Sacco's team still maintains a perfect balance between harmonious proportions and clean lines. Its timeless elegance quickly makes you forget the R107, with its more angular and massive style.
This example, an SL 320 equipped with the renowned 3.2-liter inline 6-cylinder engine, is in good working order. However, several components require servicing in order to obtain a valid technical inspection. Currently undergoing a counter-inspection, the tires are expected to be replaced, an oil leak (seals) repaired and pollutant emissions corrected.
The odometer was replaced several years ago when the car had approximately 200,000 km on the clock, with an odometer reading of just under 100,000 km. Moreover, as this odometer has broken down again, it will need to be replaced.
As for the bodywork, there is some corrosion at the rear right water outlet. The electric roof is in working order. The hard top is present and the roll bar is operational.
This SL 320 is ready to hit the road and offer its future owner all the driving pleasure of a great classic from the 90s.
