Of this Mercedes-Benz convertible only 9,470 units were manufactured in 1981, the second year of production. The 500SL (C), the 380SL (BM107.045) and the 380SLC (BM 107.025) were introduced in 1980 as replacement for the 350 models. These had the new alloy 3.8L engine (M116E38) with 218 HP (5,500 rpm) and 305 Nm (4,000 rpm).

This Mercedes is in a neat and technically well-maintained condition, the car has nice Black/Schwarz paintwork (original colour code 040G) apart from a few small traces of wear which are visible from up close. The vehicle starts immediately, shifts smoothly and powerfully through all gears, idles nicely at 800 rpm and brakes properly. The interior is in neat condition and features original Mercedes leather, the interior shows some slight wear which can be expected at the age of 40.

The car is offered including the original manual, the original tool kit, the original data card, the original Becker radio, all original documentation (booklets) and a stamped service booklet. The low mileage of 88985 miles can therefore be verified. Also, a ‘clean’ history report is available for this Mercedes.
