In 1971 this superbly fine Mercedes Benz 350SL W107 was supplied in Germany. Three years later on the 8th November 1974 the car became registered in the Netherlands. This is a very early W107, distinguished by the detached, steering wheel located horn knobs, the adjustable folding side mirrors and not forgetting that delicious V8. The fantastic 350SL has been subject to a full ‘Body-Off/Bare-Metal’ restoration and mechanical rebuild. This very professional restoration took place in the Netherlands over a number of years between 1992 to 1995. The whole process has been recorded with many photos, invoices and rapports. It has been rarely used since its restoration. Five years later the car was sold to its next enthusiast who kept the car for 15 years until we sold it to its last owner. We have been able to keep tabs on the car since then. Today the cars’ condition is superior to its condition when it was new. The bodywork is as good as new with straight and perfect fitting body panels. The paintwork, all chrome elements and the full interior trim is all again as good as new. Similarly the underbody is as good as new and fully rust-free. Over the years we have sold many Mercedes W107’s, none of which are as fine as this one! A W107 of this high quality standard is unique and almost impossible to source.
