The Mercedes-Benz 280 SL, known as the “Pagoda”, was the final and most refined evolution of the W113 series. Introduced in 1968, it combined timeless styling with a smooth 2.8-litre fuel-injected inline-six engine.

This 1971 example was built during the final year of production and was originally configured for the US market. Fitted with the less common four-speed manual gearbox, it offers a more direct and engaging driving experience than the more frequently ordered automatic versions.

With its distinctive concave hardtop, elegant design and renowned build quality, the 280 SL remains one of Mercedes-Benz’s most iconic and desirable classic roadsters.
