- Continuous history
- Properly maintained since new
- French provenance

The 280 SL were sold as a coup‚ 2 + 2 (with only a removable hard top, the California) or as a convertible (only with a soft top) or in coup‚/convertible form (with a soft top and a hard top). Quite a bit of luggage could also fit into the spacious boot or in the space behind the seats.
The car on offer is a secondhand with French origin, sold in July 1969 by Delecroix, Royal Elysee, in Paris and remained in the same family till 2001. A Mercedes invoices file and stamped service book (with its perforated factory sheet) comes with the car. The car has 152,650Km on the odometer and the body is very healthy and all the openings are well aligned. The front wings have traces of electric spot welds of origin, meaning that they have not been removed or replaced. Small dimples at the inside corner of the optical headlamps are present.
A system to run on unleaded was installed and the four Michelin tyres are from very recent as are the four Bilstein shocks. This Pagoda is exceptional for its drivability and the quality of presentation and condition. The tail lamps are original and are like new, which is rare. The original interior in black Tex is in excellent condition and the registration allows four passengers.
