Beschreibung

This Mercedes-Benz 190 SL is a fine example of the elegant drop-head classic, which has been in the Netherlands since it was released from the production facility.
It is powered by the 1.9-litre 'M121' inline-four, fed by a set of new twin Weber carburettors fitted to the car's original air filter. It transfers about 104 horsepower to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission.
The odometer shows 79,815 kilometers from new.

This Mercedes-Benz 190 SL is presented in the attractive shade of silver gray metallic, with a striking red leather interior.
It is also equipped with a contrasting black soft-top roof.
The car sits on a set of 13-inch steel rims with chrome trim rings and body-coloured hub caps.
The cab is equipped with manual windows, the correct clock in the glove compartment, a period correct Becker Mexico radio and the right nice selection of VDO dials.

The car comes with a detailed history file, the original Mercedes-Benz manuals and stamped maintenance booklet, and a number of maintenance invoices.

The repainted silver-grey metallic paintwork is in excellent overall condition with no significant traces or signs of wear. The engine was completely overhauled at the time.
The black soft-top roof is like new, with a clear rear window.
The seats and door panels are in excellent condition, with some light 'patination'. There are no electrical or mechanical defects.

The last technical check of the car took place in 2022, during which no warnings or recommendations were noted.

The last service of this 190 SL was carried out in March 2022 at BCCP BV in Gramsbergen. The work involved a change of carburettors from Solex to Weber units, with the modification of the original air filter housing to fit the upgraded carburettors. Before that, the car had a service in early 2022, including adjusting the valves, adjusting the ignition and the insulation-wrapped exhaust manifolds.

During 2014 and 2015 the car has had extensive maintenance and the invoices for this are included. In 1996 the car underwent a restoration, photos of which are present.

This Mercedes-Benz 190 SL is a wonderful example of the iconic classic roadster that has spent its entire life in the Netherlands and still bears its original license plate. This elegant convertible runs very well and is ready for its new owner.
