This Mercedes-Benz 190 SL was imported to Italy from America in 1995. The previous owner then embarked on a no expense spared restoration at a cost of some €90,000, renewing and reconditioning every part where necessary prior to completing the work with a high quality repaint in classic Mercedes-Benz silver, complemented by a new leather interior in red hide and a new black hood. Such was the thoroughness of the restoration that even the original Solex carburettors were reconditioned, an important detail as they cannot be found as spares and most 190 SLs now have popular but not original Weber items installed.
