In March 2020, renowned Bottrop tuner Brabus premiered the INVICTO, an armored vehicle built on the new Mercedes-Benz G-Class. The PURE, the most discreet of its three versions, kept the G-Class close to its series form inside and out, and Brabus billed it as undercover security.

Each INVICTO centers on the INVICTO Shelter Cell, a self-contained, self-supporting structure bolted together inside the body shell. Hot-formed armor steel, 3D-printed protection elements, composites, and full bulletproof glazing meet VR6 Plus ERV standards, including blast protection. With the armor adding roughly 1,000 kilograms, Brabus fitted reinforced suspension, uprated brakes, and its own run-flat system. To counteract the decrease in performance from this weight, the twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 carries the Brabus PowerXtra B40S-550 performance kit, raising output to 550 PS and 800 Nm. A nine-speed 9G-Tronic automatic and switchable low-range gearing are retained.

This example began life as a Brabus demonstration vehicle. Finished in Obsidian Black Metallic with a two-tone Black and Cream leather interior, it wears tinted glass and 20-inch five-spoke Brabus wheels. Today the car remains in splendid condition and is offered with just 27,140 kilometers at cataloging. It benefits from a recent service completed by Mercedes-Benz Switzerland AG, Schlieren-Zürich in preparation for sale. Each new INVICTO is built to its owner's order once an allocation is granted. This example spares the wait of up to three years. Its next owner gains VR6 Plus ERV protection and 550 PS from the day it changes hands, wrapped in the quiet, unhurried confidence of a G-Class that looks like any other.
