- Delivered new for a manager at Mercedes
- 6-litre V8 engine and 381 hp
- Only 45 units produced
- Servicing documented by a file of invoices

This car began its existence as a Mercedes E500, delivered on 24 February 1994 as a company car, probably for a senior manager in the company. Following wishes from its user, it was then sent to AMG in Affalterbach to be modified with E60 specifications. Out of the factory in "Sapphire Schwarz" colour, it saw the light of day during an interesting time in AMG history, just before the official takeover of the tuning company from the manufacturer in Stuttgart. At the time in fact, a collaboration agreement allowed the Mercedes network to market modifications offered by AMG, but the manufacturer had not yet taken a stake in the preparer's business.

This car has all the labeling and details confirming its AMG identification, also stated in a certificate issued in February 2021 by Mercedes-AMG (modification contract No M 6332). It was fitted with a 6-litre AMG M119 V8 engine of which modifications of the distribution, moving assembly, exhaust, intake and electronic adjustments made it possible to obtain a power of 381 hp. The suspension was modified and firmed up and 17-inch OZ Racing "Aero III" rims complemented this "fully loaded" E60. Including a sunroof, this car has been fitted with a discreet AMG "Aero III" body kit and the interior has naturally benefited from special fittings with the two-tone AMG all-leather option covering the dashboard and door trims, as well as AMG logo affixed to various elements including the steering wheel. To highlight the sporty character of this saloon, the speedometer was replaced with an AMG piece graduated up to 300 km/h (although the maximum speed has been electronically limited to 250 km/h.

Following its usage in Germany, this car was exported to Japan in April 1995. It was brought back to Europe in April 2020 by the current owner and had a complete gearbox and rear axle overhaul. According to invoices for the work done in Japan, over $30,000 has been spent on servicing over the past ten years. With a production limited to 140 examples, this rare AMG E60 will be sold with its tool kit. Under the appearance of this relatively sophisticated saloon with a very comfortable interior is hiding a character capable of impressing even the most jaded of sports car enthusiasts.
