The W124 is regarded by many as the last real Mercedes. The last one built with the idea that a car should outlast its owner. Over-dimensioned, over-engineered, and therefore practically indestructible. There's a reason you still see them running as taxis in Morocco and Germany with astronomical numbers on the odometer. The Germans called it 'Über-Ingenieurskunst', and they were right. This generation was penned by Bruno Sacco, the man who also has the W126 and the R129 to his name. Not the most flamboyant designer, but the most timeless. A W124 from 1994 still looks grown-up today, whereas so many other cars from that era now look decidedly dated.

Every car here follows the same route: first pre-market, then the showroom, and finally the live auction on our own site. What changes is the way you buy, not the location — once a car has arrived, it stays with us in Katwijk. This one is in pre-market: just acquired by us, and currently with us for photography, documentation and technical inspection. It is not in the showroom yet, and not anywhere else online.
