Beschreibung

This 300 SL Roadster presents as a one-owner, matching numbers car with just 32,000 miles and was acquired by Mercedes-Benz Classic from the original owner‘s family in 2018. The car was delivered to Oregon in 1957 and comes with full documentation, including all owner’s manuals and vehicle history. The car was repainted in the 1960s and shows mild patina. The blue leather interior and roadster canvas top remain completely original have been well preserved.
Since its arrival at Mercedes-Benz Classic, the car received a comprehensive inspection and service by the Mercedes-Benz Classic workshop in Southern California. The car shows no signs of body repair or rust. Our restoration specialists put great emphasis on preserving the car‘s originality while providing a road-ready vehicle to be enjoyed on vintage car rallies like the 300 SL Classic, Colorado Grand or California Mille. The car participated in the 2018 and 2019 Colorado Grand and 300 SL Classic rallies and completed the 1,000-mile drives flawlessly.
Over 60 years after its initial release from the factory, this remarkably well preserved 300 SL offers its new owner the rare opportunity to enjoy an original 300 SL Roadster that has never been restored or taken apart and stands as a true testament to the engineering quality of the 300 SL (W 198) series.
