This early-production Mercedes Benz 190 E 2.5-16 Evolution II is the 72nd of approximately 500 produced. It completed production in April 1990, finished in Blue-Black Metallic over a Black leather interior with Anthracite fabric inserts. Factory options included air conditioning, heated seats, electric sliding roof, outside temperature indicator, Panasonic stereo, rear seat headrests, heat-insulating glass with heated rear window, fire extinguisher, rear-mounted speakers, and rear map lights.

The car was delivered new to Mercedes-Benz Berlin, where it reportedly remained as a display car for two years, according to the consigning owner. The dealership then sold it to an owner, who is understood to have registered it to his company Kulbach, based in Berlin. In June 2000, the Mercedes-Benz passed to its next owner, a former AMG employee, who would keep it in Germany for the next 26 years, reportedly driving it only approximately 3,000 kilometres and having it serviced exclusively at a factory dealership, according to correspondence on file.

Acquired by the consigning owner in December 2025, the car benefitted from servicing at a Mercedes-Benz dealership in June 2026. It is accompanied by German registration documents, correspondence from the former owner, and factory books.
