A truly unique and completely original 1916 Maxwell Touring Model 25. This amazing unrestored barn find is actually still running! After a little bit of tinkering the engine started and runs nicely. The bodywork is pristine and in top authentic condition. In 1916 Messrs.’ Tuthill and Scull took a Touring 25 on a transcontinental road-trip from Newark via New Jersey to Los Angles and back again. These chaps drove across America in winter, in a time before the interstate road system had been built! Their reason for doing this was to prove the cars` quality and endurance capability. 102 years on and this car is still as capable; they were not wrong in their premises! This rather unique over 100 year-old barn find is in top authentic condition and would be supremely suitable for promotion purposes.
