This classic car is for sale on Catawiki. To have more information or to place a bid click on the "BID NOW" button. .A Merak is already special in itself, but this colour exceeds everything as far as we are concerned! The Maserati Merak (Tipo AM122) is a mid-engine 2+2 sports car produced by Maserati between 1972 and 1983. The Merak was closely related to the Maserati Bora and shared part of its structure and body panels, but was powered by a 3.0L V6 instead of the latter's 4.7L V8. The additional cabin space gained by mounting a smaller and more compact powertrain was used to create a second row of seats - suitable for children or very small adults - making the Merak not only a cheaper alternative to the Bora, but also a 2+2.

This car was delivered new in the early summer of 1974, on 28-02-1974 to be exact. Originally finished in this orange Maserati colour called Arancione. It looks great on the car. The body is very original and exceptionally solid.

Fitted with a beautiful and still completely original interior, the black leather is in good condition, it also has the original carpet, dashboard upholstery, headliner and so on. The exterior is also in good condition, the car was fully sprayed two years ago.

First registered in Florida, after which the Merak was imported into the Netherlands in 2018. A specialist made the finishing touches before delivery to the customer, all lines, brakes and tyres were replaced.

A completely new clutch set was installed. And much more, invoices are available for inspection. As well as the documentation from Florida and those relating to the import. In short, this Maserati is ready to hit the road. Are you looking for a Merak? Then you have to see this one.

You’re more than welcome to come and experience it in real life in Sassenheim. The coffee is ready!
