Last classic six-cylinder Maserati

Unveiled at the 1963 Turin Motor Show, the Maserati Mistral replaced the 3500 GT, the model that had allowed Maserati to grow from a small-scale operation to a large-scale manufacturer. The body designed by Frua displayed an elegant and unusual form, with a grille lying below the bumpers and an enveloping rear windscreen. Under the bonnet lay the famous six-cylinder engine derived from competition, a twin-cam, dual-ignition unit that in its final 4000 cc version produced 265 bhp.

Delivered new on 22 April 1966 to Mr Luigi Serra of Genoa, the Maserati Mistral on offer is still presented in its original colour " Argento Auteuil ". This is a 4-litre version, one of the most sought after in the series, that retains its original engine. The car has been restored and has benefited from careful maintenance. It comes with a complete file of documentation including owner's manual, service book, spare parts catalogue, the original "Carta di Circolazione", sales catalogue and Maserati Classiche certificate. The car was serviced by a marque specialist shortly before the sale.

Presented in lovely condition, this car represents a great opportunity to buy one of the last classic six-cylinder Maseratis.
