‘Performance through lightweight’ was Colin Chapman’s mantra, founder of Lotus Cars.
This Elise Mk1 was designed in the mid-1990s embodying all the dictates of the legendary British engineer: first presented in 1994 and officially launched on the market in ‘96, the Elise Mk1 features an aluminium chassis with an epoxy glue and fibreglass bodywork, weighing just 720 kg and delivering 120 hp.
Since the first, historic Elise, a total of 35,124 units were produced, with the last Final Edition leaving the Hethel factory in December 2021 to make way for new electric models. The Mk1 today is therefore a small gem that holds a historical as well as economic value. It made history.

No accidents, I am the 2nd owner.
Since I bought it, I have only travelled 2000 km to keep it ‘active’ during the year.
The previous owner was a Lotus executive in Italy. The car had an English number plate but it is left-hand drive since manufacture.

These cars have long been heavily mistreated for non-road uses.
Therefore, I consider it absolutely impossible to find another one preserved in such original condition and without any engine modifications ever made.
In 2015, I bought it from PB Racing Lallio (BG), therefore we have a guarantee of origin.
