In 1947, Lincoln only produced 738 convertibles with the legendary 5 litre V12 engine. As can be seen in the production certificate available, the Continental was completed on the 22nd of September 1947 and shipped to Belgium on the 1st October of the same year. The last few decades of the Continental were spent in the Belgian Mahy collection. The engine was only recently started again very carefully, and the Continental may be driven onto a transporter under its own steam. Sold in unrestored original condition, the Lincoln only has its production certificate and Swiss customs duties have so far not been paid.
