Leyton House CG901-06 We are pleased to offer one of the most iconic 1990’s F1 cars for sale.
The Leyton House CG901 was built for the 1990 F1 season, and was powered by a 3.5L Judd EV V8 engine with 6 speed manual gearbox. Designed by Adrian Newey and who along with the likes of Ross Brawn who was also working on the Leyton House engineering team.

1990 was another year dominated by McLaren-Honda, however the 901 proved to be a revelation at the French GP, where Ivan Capelli led much of the race before finishing 2nd to Alain Prost in an updated B version of the car which featured an exhaust blown diffuser. Chassis 6 is one of the B versions that was used in the latter part of the 1990 season.

The CG901 is a beautifully packaged F1 car and Newey took great care packaging the car as tightly as possible to optimise the aerodynamics of the car. This car was raced by Ivan Capelli in the second half of 1990 and Recently restored by historic F1 experts CGA racing, this car is genuinely ready to drive – one of the last analogue F1 cars with manual gearbox and V8 engine revving to around 12,000rpm as well as carbon brakes and huge downforce, this is an opportunity not to be missed and a car from the cutting edge of technology from one of the iconic periods of F1 History.
