This UK supplied 110 V8 manual Station Wagon has been restored and upgraded to the highest standards involving more than 1,000 hours of labour and in excess of £25,000 of new parts. The result is the unique and stunning Land Rover you see here with many special features that remains fit for purpose.

Initially the original vehicle was completely stripped. A new galvanised Richards chassis, a highly regarded upgrade was used and the rebuild began with all new LR factory body panels replacing the originals where required, this included doors, left and right B posts, tub floor and cross members, left and right quarter panels. Full rust proofing followed and a full professional repaint in the special finish that so suits the nature of the car. All new stainless nuts, bolts and washers were used throughout.

Inside, new Exmoor trim front, middle and rear seats were fitted, the front hardback sports seats feature heating and khaki green hard back shells as per the forthcoming V8 Anniversary Edition. A new Exmoor trim carpet set was fitted with new black door cards and bespoke grab handles. The roof lining was refinished in Alcantara as were the sun visors, and all door seals and handles replaced. An expensive LR Sport steering wheel as per the V8 Anniversary Edition and new column surrounds complete the interior.

All instruments were replaced with new old stock items with edges finished in green and a bespoke Hifi system features Bluetooth, DAB radio, reversing camera and Apple Play connections, high quality speakers were included.

All mechanical items were replaced or overhauled. The original 3.5 V8 engine was stripped and fully rebuilt as a rebored 4.0 litre unit with new carbs. Further mechanical upgrades are as follows:

Bespoke Valvetronic exhaust with remote activation.
2 inch lift springs and shocks
All new bushes and ball joints
Halo headlights with daytime running
Hipo Starter Motor
New fuel tank and protector, fuel pump and fuel lines
Terrafirma wide wheel arches with black fixing covers
Black powder coated tree slider
Black powder coated rear cross member checker plate

LR tub capping
Full Wipac LED lights all round
Mantec spare wheel carrier
High end Nakatanenga custom grill -black
Revotec 2 x 12” electric fan kit with new custom radiator and cooling pipes
New heater matrix
New bumpers and rubbers
Auto gas strut rear door opener
Rear anti-roll bar
Gearbox cross member
New door seals and new front rear glass with all new seals throughout
All new seat belts

The LR has only seen light road use since completion and hence it remains in excellent, almost certainly better than new, order throughout. It drives very well, clearly benefitting from a series of high quality well-regarded upgrades to standard. Everything works as it should and the car creates a great deal of interest both in the city and countryside. Great fun, usable and available for far less than the restoration cost.
