According to the limited history available in the Italian papers, the car only had a few owners. Delivered new in Milan and it always drove around in that region. Further maintenance history is not available (maintenance was probably done cash-in-hand, without a receipt). The car has been sprayed in the original grey Lancia colour Tor di Valle. The interior has a light fabric upholstery. It all still looks neat and gives the car a fresh look. It's a bit different than the usual leatherette seats. The dashboard is very neat without any cracks. There’s no discolouration on the transparent plastic plates which cover the gauges and meters. The headlining is sleek. The odometer indicates 2,570 km; given the condition of the car, it is very plausible the car has 'only' driven 102,570 km. The car has a valid Dutch Periodic Vehicle Inspection until February 2022.

The body is also particularly sleek for a car that’s over 50 years old. There’s the odd spot in places, but we can classify that as ‘patina’. The car has no rust except for a couple of minor superficial spots. The sills and the bottom are hard and the front quarter panels are not cracked. The doors and boot lid are as it should be, made of aluminium; the bonnet was replaced in the past by a steel one. Anyway, that was often the case. The chrome is neat and the windows don’t have scratches.

It’s obvious the car was always well maintained from the fresh grease in the nipples. The shock absorbers are good, the front brakes were recently overhauled and fitted with new calipers and cylinders. The master brake cylinder was also renewed. The engine runs well and the gearbox shifts smoothly; the carburettors were recently cleaned and tuned.

Driving this Fulvia is a real delight. You only need a Borsalino hat a linen jacket and you’re back in the 60s: ‘La Dolce Vita’ has never been more accessible!

The car can be viewed and picked up in Hilversum, the Netherlands.
