Beschreibung

The Lancia Beta Montecarlo, from 1980 only called Lancia Montecarlo, is a two-seater mid-engined sports car which was built by Pininfarina from 1975 to 1982 under the Lancia brand. Irrespective of its model designation with the exception of the engine, there is no relation to the Lancia Beta series but is a result of a project between Fiat and Pininfarina. The Coupé and the Spider (with a folding roof in the first series and a targa roof in the second) were introduced as Montecarlo in March 1975 on the 45th Geneva salon. The Spyder offered, one of only 1’757 examples of the first series built, is a Swiss delivery and was first registered in 1976. In December 1992, the Montecarlo was deregistered and parked in a garage for over 20 years. At the end of 2013, the Lancia was restored over the following 10 years by the son of the previous owner, who works in the automotive industry himself. According to the vendors information the Lancia was with a lady in the Vaudoise Canton and acquired by him in July 2023 with around 96’500 kilometres driven by the 1st owner. Shortly after its registration on the 24th of August of the same year (where erroneously a first registration of 9th March 1979 had been entered in the documentation) the Montecarlo suffered a major storm in the Ticino Canton and was heavily damaged. Over the last one and half years the Lancia was restored. The coachwork, interior, electrics, dashboard were all reworked or replaced by a total of 4 specialised companies with the engine and the rest of the mechanical bits checked and overhauled as necessary. At the same time 4 new tyres were installed. Over 20’000 francs were invested in this rework and corresponding receipts as well as receipts from the last 12 years are available and will be handed over with the car. Now the rare sportscar once again presents itself in good condition and with two owners and only around 97’000 kilometres driven as well as the latest MOT from August 2023 will be handed over to a new enthusiast.
