On 14 April 1978 the car was sold to Germany, and on 7 May 2019 the car was registered in the Netherlands. This Lancia 2000 HF is in very good to excellent condition – in recent years the engine has been perfected, and the engine bay has recently been restored to near-new condition! The Lancia 2000 is the successor to the Flavia 2000 Coupé. The original, very stylish design of the Pininfarina Lancia Flavia Coupé was modified in a few details. The Lancia logo was relocated from the bonnet to the grille, and the radiator grille was rendered in matte black with an elegant chrome trim. An important improvement was the introduction of a five‑speed gearbox. In the HF variant, performance enhancements were introduced, such as the implementation of an electronic Bosch injection system and an advanced braking system (the so‑called Superduplex system) which ensured efficient braking even in the event of a failure in one of the circuits. With these technical innovations and a limited production run of 1,229 examples, the Lancia 2000 HF Coupé is a rare and exclusive classic. The water‑cooled 1,991 cc four‑cylinder boxer engine with petrol injection produces 125 hp and enables the car to reach a top speed of 190 km/h – excellent performance for a car from the early 1970s!
