Descendant of the “Miura”, nephew of the “Countach” and heir of the “Diablo”, the sport sedans that have made the history of Lamborghini, the “Murciélago” updates – in respect of traditions – a way of building a supercar that is only found in land of Emilia.

Regarding the technique, from the ancestors, the latest addition to the Toro resumed the position of the engine (V12, 6.2 liters, 426 kW-580 hp), mounted longitudinally in the middle, the body with advanced cab and the doors that open towards up.

Also in the cockpit there is a typical “Emilian” atmosphere: the wide brancardo, the reduced height from the ground and the doors certainly do not help in the entrance, in full Lamborghini style. On the other hand, once seated in the driver’s seat, you appreciate the steering wheel settings, which allow you to carve out a customized space.

The embarrassment remains for the voluminous central tunnel, which houses the transmission, and for the gear lever, rather high, and above all for the lack, sometimes, of the “maneuvering space” for the elbow. The finishes are impeccable.

As for the dynamic behavior, given that the “Murciélago” knows how to move well in the street, to explore the limits of this “Lambo”, in addition to a “handle” used to cars like that, serves a place not too crowded: the our Vairano track, for example. Once these two “problems” have been solved, one can not help but be amazed by an engine with an apparently infinite progression and by the excellent motility guaranteed by the four-wheel drive and by the good balance of the masses.

Discendente della “Miura”, nipote della “Countach” ed erede della “Diablo”, le berline sportive che hanno fatto la storia della Lamborghini, la “Murciélago” aggiorna – nel rispetto delle tradizioni – una maniera di costruire supercar che si trova solo in terra d’Emilia.

Per quanto riguarda la tecnica, dalle antenate, l’ultima nata del Toro riprende la posizione del motore (V12, 6.2 litri, 426 kW-580 CV), montato longitudinalmente al centro, la carrozzeria con cabina avanzata e le porte che si aprono verso l’alto.

Anche nell’abitacolo si respira un’aria tipicamente “emiliana”: il brancardo largo, la ridotta altezza da terra e le portiere non aiutano certo nell’ingresso, in pieno stile Lamborghini. In compenso, una volta seduti al posto di guida si apprezzano le regolazioni del volante, che permettono di ritagliarsi uno spazio su misura.

Resta l’imbarazzo per il tunnel centrale voluminoso, che ospita la trasmissione, e per la leva del cambio, piuttosto alta, e soprattutto per la mancanza, talvolta, dello “spazio di manovra” per il gomito. Impeccabili, invece, le finiture.

Per quanto riguarda il comportamento dinamico, premesso che la “Murciélago” sa muoversi bene anche in strada, per esplorare i limiti di questa “Lambo”, oltre a un “manico” avvezzo a vetture del genere, serve un luogo non troppo affollato: la nostra pista di Vairano, per esempio. Risolti questi due “problemi” non si può che restare sbalorditi da un motore con una progressione apparentemente infinita e dall’ottima motricità garantita dalla trazione integrale e dal buon bilanciamento delle masse.
