The Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 Valentino Balboni is a creation of the car brand Lamborghini. The LP550-2 is based on the Lamborghini Gallardo. The difference between the standard Gallardo and the LP550-2 is in the drive. A Gallardo has four-wheel drive.

The LP550-2 is driven via the rear wheels. The car was made as a parting gift for Valentino Balboni. Balboni had been a test driver for Lamborghini since 1967. He is officially retired, but that only applies to his position as a test driver. Today he travels the world as an ambassador for Lamborghini. The car was produced in a limited edition of 250 units. This special Gallardo was produced how Balboni wanted the ultimate Lamborghini.

Specifications
The Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 Valentino Balboni has a slightly less powerful version of the 5.2-liter V10 engine from the LP560-2. This now produces 405 kW (550 hp). The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. The top speed is 320 km/h. The LP550-2 weighs 1,470 kg, which is 30 kg less than the standard Gallardo. Emissions amount to 315 grams of CO2 per kilometre.

Specials
The LP550-2 Valentino Balboni was available in eight paint colours: Grigio Telesto, Verde Ithaca, Grigio Thalasso, Blu Caelum, Nero Noctis and Arancio Borealis. However, each model has a white striping in the length. A narrow gold-colored stripe runs next to the wide white stripe.

The seats are upholstered in black leather with white striping. The center console is covered with polar white leather. Valentino Balboni's signature appears on the left door, with the car's serial number below it.

Our 'Valentino Balboni' in the colour, 'Arancio Borealis' was delivered new on 04-05-2010 by the Swedish Lamborghini dealer, Von Braun Sport Cars from Sweden and still has the Swedish registration papers.
