Beschreibung
1989 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary
The final evolution of the Countach, and arguably the best-developed Countach model Lamborghini ever built.
Introduced in 1988 to celebrate Lamborghini’s 25th anniversary, the 25th Anniversary was the ultimate version of the Countach. By this point, the car had been continuously developed for more than a decade, and Lamborghini used the 25th Anniversary to bring everything together into one final, highly evolved package.
A young Horacio Pagani was heavily involved in the development of the 25th Anniversary while working at Lamborghini. He redesigned and refined many of the car’s exterior details, including the front and rear sections and the characteristic side air intakes, while also improving cooling and aerodynamics. It was a more sophisticated Countach, but still every bit as outrageous as the original.
Behind the cabin sits the legendary 5.2-litre Lamborghini V12, topped by six Weber carburetors. Producing 455 hp, the 25th Anniversary was the most powerful Countach yet and, with its combination of the carbureted V12, improved chassis and extensive development, represents the ultimate evolution of the original Countach formula.
This particular example is an original European-specification carburetor car, delivered new in the UK. It is especially interesting for its colour combination, being finished in black over a white leather interior. Only eight 25th Anniversary Countachs were delivered in this color combination, making it one of the rarest factory specifications available. Even more unusual, this is one of only four of those cars fitted with the tasteful black leather piping around the white interior.
The car has previously undergone a complete repaint and presents beautifully today. We have recently gone through the car ourselves, replacing all suspension rubbers and carrying out a full major service. The result is a Countach that is not only exceptional to look at, but also in mint mechanical condition and ready to be driven.
Combined with its original European carburetor specification, UK delivery and exceptionally rare black-over-white colour combination, this is a particularly special example of Lamborghini’s ultimate 1980s supercar.
For us at Colombo & Co this Countach is the ultimate showstopper at every car event, ensuring smiles for the crowd and the driver!
