The Lamborghini Aventador deservedly wore the crown of the Sant’Agata Bolognese marque’s flagship V-12 supercar over the course of its 11-year production run. Announced as the successor to the Murciélago when revealed at the 2011 Geneva International Motor Show, the Aventador wore the emblematic features of its forebears, tracing back to the Miura—notably its design centred around a thundering mid-mounted engine coupled with a low-slung, distinctive silhouette.
Towards the end of the Aventador’s lifespan, Lamborghini bosses planned to send off the supercar in style, announcing the LP 780-4 Ultimae via social media in July 2021. Revealed as a limited-edition model, production was capped at 600 units—split between 350 units of the coupé and 250 of the roadster. Order books filled up fast, and understandably so—this was the most powerful Aventador yet. Not only that, its tuned 6.5-litre V-12 was the highest performing standard-production, naturally aspirated V-12 in Lamborghini history. Factory-rated at 769 horsepower, the LP 780-4 Ultimae could reach 0 to 100 km/h in a blistering 2.8 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 355 km/h.
Liberal use of carbon fibre around the LP 780-4 Ultimae evoked the design theme employed by the earliest Aventador models, while a plush Alcantara-lined interior could be further configured with Lamborghini’s Ad Personam personalisation programme.
The example offered here was ordered new through Passion Automobiles Prestige Sausheim (Lamborghini Mulhouse) and delivered to a customer residing in the Bas-Rhin region of eastern France. Finished in the custom Ad Personam shade of Blu Tawaret—an €18,000 option—the exterior of the Aventador is complemented by black alloy wheels, and it was further specified with extended application of leather around the Nero interior. Living a sheltered life in private ownership, the Lamborghini had covered just 1,856 kilometres by the time of cataloguing.
Lamborghini enthusiasts who missed out on the final run of the Aventador—in its most powerful form yet—should look no further than this enticing example of the LP 780-4 Ultimae.
