Der Lagonda LG 6 entstand unter der Regie von Walter Owen Bentley. Als Chefingenieur bei Lagonda verfolgte er konsequent das Ziel, bessere Fahrzeuge als Rolls-Royce zu fertigen. Tatsächlich gehören die Lagondas dieser Epoche zur den Vorkriegswagen mit den besten Fahreigenschaften und den harmonischsten Karosserien. Der Lagonda LG 6 ist übrigens weitestgehend identisch mit dem V 12 (LG 12). Er verfügt jedoch mit dem 6-Zylinder Meadows Motor über ein sehr ausgereifteres Aggregat bei ungefähr gleicher Leis-tung.

Dieses seltene LG 6 Cabriolet wurde in der zweiten Hälfte der 90er Jahre in den USA äußerst aufwendig inkl. neuem Holzrahmen zu Concours-Zustand restauriert. Nach Rückkehr nach Europa wurden Motor und Getriebe vor kurzem nochmals durch die Firma LMB für rund komplett revidiert. Der Wagen ist seit Restauration nur behutsam genutzt worden (ca. 15.000 km) und erweist sich als außerordentlich zuverlässig und sportlich in seiner Handhabung. Eine Legende auf Rädern!

The Lagonda LG 6 was created under the direction of Walter Owen Bentley. As chief engineer at Lagonda he consistently strived to produce better automobiles than Rolls-Royce. In fact, the Lagondas of this era belong to the pre-war cars with the best driving characteristics and the most elegant bodies. Further, the Lagonda LG 6 is largely identical to the V 12 (LG 12). But with the 6-cylinder Meadows engine, the LG 6 possesses a much more sophisticated engine at approximately the same power.

At the end of the 90`s in the USA, this very rare LG 6 Cabriolet was extensively restored to concours condition including a complete new wooden frame. After returning to Europe, the engine and gearbox were recently revised completely by the specialist LMB. The car has been used gently since restoration (about 15.000 km) and proves to be extremely reliable and sporty in its handling.
