- A very prestigious model
- Beautiful body
- Mechanically interesting and original
- No reserve
This car is equipped with a Lagonda odometer but graduated in km/h, which suggests that it is a rare version for continental Europe. It comes equipped with its original engine, a beautiful six-cylinder in-line 4.5-liter Meadows OHV unit, aspirated by two SU carburetors, whose impressive power made this model one of the fastest cars of its time. It is no coincidence that one of the versions of the LG 45 bore the name "Fast" and distinguished itself in competition. The car we present is a more pratical four-seater convertible with a very elegant line and whose layout reflects the level of luxury typical of the brand. It must be remembered that after his victory in the 1935 24 Hours of Le Mans, Lagonda faced serious financial difficulties and was saved by the takeover of Alan Good, who brought in W O Bentley to put order into the range.
This LG 45 is impressive, with its two side spare wheels covered with steel covers, and provides a unique opportunity in performing a satisfying restoration on such a prestigious model.
