History

Ford V8 linked to a rebuilt 3-speed C-4 automatic transmission, so you can be sure it will be a reliable and solid powertrain that is

easy to get parts for. Included with this Willys SVV Wagon for sale are the following options: air conditioning, power brakes, power

steering, leather interior, and radial tires. This is a fantastic example of a restored classic and with only 1914 miles.

Purchased in 2012 as a project vehicle, this Station Wagon had spent most of its life in Colorado.

The Willys was picked up and shipped overseas to Belgium in fall 2012. As it arrived in Belgium, we quickly discovered

the great potential of this incredible donor and figured we’d go all the way down the road to build a unique derelict Jeep with

stunning personality and major performance upgrades.

The Jeep was stripped down to the bar frame. As we discovered the incredible condition in which this Jeep had been

kept, we got pen and paper to start shaping the Jeeps new life.

Structurally we strengthened frame the body mounts from front to back. The frame was boxed using a Wagoneer frame. It was

ready to receive a V8 engine, automatic transmission, power steering and upgraded suspension after some major modifications.

The body was adapted, to accommodate the AMC 401 V8. We decided to go for an AMC engine over the typical Chevy V8

upgrades. This engine was chosen as it stays in the Jeep family line. Buddy and owner at Mass=Flo, Chris Richards heled us

locate a 401 and build it from scratch up. Performance cam, aluminum heads and iconic Mass Flo EFI fuel injection would deliver around

450 horsepower. A TH400 Hydramatic was chosen kept behind Jeep iconic Quadra-trac transfer case. Full-time four-wheel drive

delivered to Dana 44 front rear axles.

Front brakes got upgraded to disc brakes and mounted to a vacuum booster to deliver enough brake power to the vehicle. Steering

got upgraded to a Grand Wagoneer box from the 70’s. The whole setup is connected to a Flaming River column and steering

shaft. This gives the Jeep a firm handle at any speed.

After mocking up the entire Jeep, we took it back to the bare frame.  The body was sent to Dave’s custom Speed shop after

is got sandblasted and metalized.  The frame got sandblasted, galvanized and power coated black.
The interior got upholstered in cognac brown leather by specialist Bernard Logist and his team.
Bumpers got chromed. A custom Ron Davis aluminum radiator got fabricated and mounted behind a high electric fan.

The entire wiring harness got upgraded to full new wiring harness.
Exhaust was custom fabricated by EPS in Hoogezand. A full dual line is controlled by an electric bypass valve offering

a wide range of exhaust sounds. The body got custom airbrushed, respecting original color patterns yet giving it a unique touch.

Speedometer got upgraded to a digital unit. All weather seals were installed new from Willys America in California.
A custom stainless-steel fuel tank got mounted to the back of the vehicle. All lines are stainless steel all the way to the engine.

Brake lines are stainless from front to back. All brakes are new.
The axles were overhauled. New bearings, new seals, new rack and pinion all the way.
The transmission got overhauled and strengthened to accommodate the 401’s power. The transfer case got taking apart and rebuilt.

Carpets were custom sawn by Bernard and his team. So was the headliner and sun visors.

The entire Jeep is built with stainless steel hardware. The interior accommodated the original wood trim that was reproduced to exact match. All glass was cut new from front to back.

Tires are upgraded BF Goodrich 235X75X15 road wheels for handling. Shocks are Bilstein performance shocks.

The Jeep was built with love and without any cutting corners. Approximate cost of goods is around 85.000€ and about 2500 hours

were spent to put this Jeep back to life.
