Beschreibung
Originally manufactured in 1955 and delivered via Jaguar dealer Broad Street Motors in Birmingham, this super original right-hand drive XK features colour coded wire wheels, Lucas fog lamps, and the rare and desirable overdrive feature.
Finished in the super colour combination of dark blue with red leather interior, the XK joined a private collection in 2002 following a comprehensive restoration in the 1990’s. This work is extensively documented on file with detailed invoicing, correspondence and photographs. The XK continued to be carefully used and very well maintained whilst in the collection again as detailed in invoicing and correspondence on file.
The owner of this collection passed away several years ago and Hairpin were instructed by the family to sell the cars. To this end, the XK, which had remained unused for several years, was recommissioned by highly regarded XK specialists Twyford Moors. Invoicing on file amounting to in excess of £10,000 details the work completed.
We sold the car quickly to a regular fastidious customer and enthusiast who embarked upon further work on the XK, both with Twyford Moors and Pit Lane who had restored his original Coombs Jaguar Mk II to an exceptionally high standard.
This lovely XK is now available again presenting in nice order, retaining that lovely patina that so suits an XK whilst being well-sorted and a great drive.
