= Remarks =

Introduced in 1975 as the successor to the Jaguar E-Type, the iconic Jaguar XJ-S was one of
the most exclusive and advanced Gran Turismos in the world when it was introduced. The whisper-quiet 5.3 liter V12 coupe was able to transport its passengers in style, silence and comfort at speeds of more than 200 km/h on the (then empty) motorways of the
European continent to their exotic destinations. It should
be noted that regular stops had to be made
to refill the 100 liter tank because the V12 liked a sip of premium petrol

Because the successor to the XJS, the XK8, was still a bit delayed, a much improved, last version of the XJS was released in 1994, with completely renewed 6.0 liter V12
engines, coupled with new four-speed automatic transmissions; equipped with airbags, improved wheel suspensions and much improved very luxurious interior finishes.
