The beautifully sculpted Jaguar XJS still has a modern appearance. This car made her entry on the 28th February 1994 in Newport Beach, California, the USA. She stayed in the sunny state until she arrived in Brummen in 2016. We sold the car to its previous owner. The car’s condition has not changed since, it is as fine now as it was then. The previous owner has taken good car of her along the way. The bodywork is in very good condition with only a few minor blemishes. The panel work is nice and thin and correctly aligned. The brightwork has been very well maintained and the paintwork is neat with minor blemishes in keeping with the cars age. The hood was recently replaced and is an all-round secure fit. Looking underneath this Jaguar XJS it is clear that it has always been garaged, it is in great condition. The interior trim is similarly well maintained. Opening the door to look inside you can barely imagine that this car is 26 years old having travelled some 132,000 miles. The car have recently been re-upholstered in black leather with gold-coloured stitching. The seats are pristine without any scuff marks. The neat light-grey carpets provide a sophisticated contrast. The walnut burr dashboard is in excellent condition. The car also features air-conditioning. The leather dashboard topping and that of the steering wheel are also still very neat. This Jaguar not only looks good but also boasts excellent mechanical credentials, which I will expand upon later on. The accompanying paperwork completes the pretty picture. The complete car wallet is present containing all the original booklets. There is also paperwork relating to its time in the States. Mechanically there are no complaints. The XJS has a near indestructible 4.0 litre straight-six engine coupled to a 4-speed automatic. The perfectly smooth running engine provides sumptuous handling. We believe that the 4.0 engine gives better handling compared to the heavier V12. The car is quick and nibble with precise steering and almost imperceptible gear changes, just as you would expect from a Jag. At the time when this car was supplied to its previous owner it came with a major service and maintenance has been kept up correctly since.
