The SS Jaguar 3 ¬Ω was first introduced in 1938 as the marques flagship luxury limousine model and a 4-seating alternative to the legendary SS 100. Of the 1,304 models that were produced in this series, it is estimated that less than 150 received the drop head coupe coach work.

Originally delivered to Adelaide, South Australia from Henlys, London in early 1939 shortly before the commencement of WWII, this Jaguar SS 3 ¬Ω is believed to be 1 of only 6 sent to Australia from the factory. It was once owned by a prominent classic car collector in Goolwa, South Australia.

This Ultra-rare 3.5L five-seat convertible is a treasure among the classic car scene, bearing the Jaguar symbol and retaining the DHC specification. Inside and out, this vehicles presents in excellent overall condition for its age. The red Conolly leather interior is plush and offers a spacious cabin area, an ideal comfort combination.

Today this matching numbers classic presents largely original, with the original engine still fitted and running. It has received an earlier respray in its original black paint some years ago and features its original Soft-top roof, finished in French Grey. This presents an excellent opportunity to purchase a very rare piece of motoring history and is the only known example offered for sale currently in the world.

This model was also the first to receive the Jaguar moniker as well as the original SS badging before it was discontinued due to WWII. The model was marketed as an owner driver alternative to the cumbersome limousines offered by Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Mercedes-Benz whilst still offering a comparative level of luxury. The 3.5L engine produced 125bhp and a top speed of 95mp/h paired to its 4-speed manual transmission.
