Beschreibung
This imposing Jaguar limousine, one of only 2’016 examples of the more powerful M-version with left hand drive, was delivered to the Belgium importer in Brussels on the 10th January 1955 and registered for the first time in July of the same year. In 1975 the Jaguar was imported into Germany and stored for many years. Originally painted battleship grey with a grey leather interior the Mark VII was restored at great expense between 1989 and 1992 and finished in the colour combination currently shown. In 2012 the Jaguar was taken over by an enthusiast and imported into Switzerland. In 2014, around 1’500 kilometres ago, the matching numbers engine received an overhaul. Receipts as well as a detailed photographic documentation for the work are available. In March 2024, the Jaguar was acquired by a dealer, who sold it shortly afterwards to the consignor. After a long period of storage before, he had the Jaguar refurbished but realized that the huge Mk VII was not suitable for his needs. Currently the majestic saloon with a rare steel sliding roof presents himself in good condition with the interior showing an age-appropriate patina, the engine runs flawlessly and the 4-speed gearbox with overdrive shifts well. The last veteran MOT was completed in July 2024.
