Beschreibung

"Available with two engine sizes, 2½ litre and 3½ litre, the former was adequate for the post-war market in the UK but the latter was far more desirable. Not only because it now had a top speed of over 95mph but Jaguar now offered a lefthand drive version thus making it popular in America.
The lines remained reminiscent of the classic English aristocracy complete with the huge P100 headlights and classic chrome upright grille. Inside, as expected, occupants sank into leather armchairs surrounded by walnut panels and a dozen instruments feeding the driver all necessary information at a glance.
Extensive works have been undertaken to return this most elegant of examples back to its former glory. The chassis has been sand-blasted, cleaned and, whilst in the air, the suspension has also been renovated. The electrical system has been replaced and all chrome elements restored. The engine has been tested and in good condition with the manual gearbox reported to be operating smoothly. The original paintwork of this example has been stripped off and re-painted with the original factory colour with all upholstery and wooden parts reconditioned and new carpets fitted. Complete with a UK registration document showing just three previous owners, this classic motorcar from Jaguar’s heyday is in good order throughout and represents the very spirit of motoring."
