We are happy to present this very nice and fine handling manual 1962 Jaguar Mk2 3.4. The car was originally supplied in Switzerland, where it was also eventually restored. The car was brought over to the Netherlands in 1996 by the previous owner. He always kept the car garaged and only used it for leisure. The car drives as well as it looks. When describing the restoration we can clearly see it is typical of the work done in the 90s. With that, we mean that work was thoroughly carried out to a high standard. You would not think the work done is nearly 30 years old.

The bodywork is still very presentable with only a few minor blemishes. The nice and thin panelwork is neatly aligned. They did an excellent job of respraying the paintwork in the original colour. All of the work carried out was to a very high standard. The car has its original rims and hubcaps. Embellishments such as the chrome mouldings, bumpers and lights look great. It is still very much a great looking car, that much is clear from the moment you first clap eyes on her.

The interior trim was completely refurbished at the time. A keen eye for original detail is evident and the effort that went in is still apparent. The well-fitting carpets are in good condition. The leather is starting to show some patina and is still very supple. The woodwork received a fresh layer of lacquer and is still pristine. The dashboard is of course resplendent with the correct Smith clockwork, all looking good as well as being in good working order. There is a wonderful Becker radio in-situ. The headlining and all control, and handles have been very well cared for over the years.

The well maintained mechanical aspect underwent full revision at the time. This Jaguar Mk2 has the popular 3.4 engine attached to a manual 4-speed transmission with overdrive. The car has only clocked up 82,000 km and drives fantastically well. The straight-six develops 210 Ps and even measured against todays cars is still fleet of foot. The car has always enjoyed expert

maintenance. This car is as good to drive as the day it was new. The braking system and suspension are also very fit.

There is a nice amount of documentation accompanying the car. There are the invoices relating to the restoration and further maintenance as well as additional paperwork from the time it resided in Switzerland.

This is a very pleasing 1962 Jaguar Mk2 3.4 with the always sought after manual transmission. The fact it handles as well as it looks is definitely a bonus.
