Named to honor Jaguar’s seven wins at Le Mans, the F-Type Project 7 brought the performance, design panache, and exclusivity of the marque’s Le Mans winners into the 21st century.

Visually, Project 7s are distinguished by their aerodynamic head restraint, one of the most distinctive features of the D-type racer of the ’50s. Just 250 Project 7s were built, with 50 going to the US. By design, the driving experience is a more raw, visceral one than in other F-types, with 25 extra hp going through the rear axle alone, and a minimalist, bikini-style roof.

Acquired by its first owner in October 2015 via Peacock Automotive in South Carolina, this example comes with a CARFAX Vehicle History Report that indicates it has covered very few miles. The iconic British Racing Green paint, finished with white roundels, was a $10,000 option. Also supplied are a bespoke Project 7 car cover, a certificate of authenticity, a monochrome study signed by Jaguar’s chief of design, a miniature mirrored model Project 7, and the original window sticker.

This Project 7 represents a rare opportunity to secure a pristine example of this melding of Jaguar’s heritage and future. It should be seriously considered by those who appreciate great Jaguars and those who enjoy the thrill of modern supercars.
