EQUIPMENT
Sundym glass, Heated rear window with illuminated switch, Push-button ignition, Discreet Ipod link with upgraded Jaguar speakers, Wooden rim steering wheel, Quarter-lights with polished Chrome stays, Complete tool-roll including Tyre Pressure and Feeler gauges, Twin speed heater fan, Radiomobile pushbutton L/M wave Radio, Oil pressure gauge and Amp meter, Cigarette lighter, Twin horn, Centre mounted reverse lamp.

EXTERIOR
This Series 1 is nothing short of magnificent. Fresh from an extensive restoration the list of work accounted for in the history file is endless; complete new floor pans, new boot pan, new inner and outer sills, new door skins, new front kick panels, new rear lower valance, new rear floor pan and both rear quarters.

The bodywork was then taken back to bare metal, etch primed and repainted on a rotisserie using ICI paint in the original colour – special order Opalescent Dark Blue Metallic; a shade that truly accentuates the unmistakeable style and presence of the E Type legend.

Presenting in better than new condition, this example is a remarkable testament to a Great British Classic icon.

INTERIOR
Sitting behind the steering wheel with a view overlooking the road ahead, this E-Type gives you a palpable sense of excitement. The plush leather interior, rounded dials and toggle switches provide a feeling of luxury whilst managing to retain the racing derived DNA of its predecessors – something that becomes immediately present whilst on the road.

The interior of this S1 has been tailor made by respected craftsmen with nothing overlooked. From the brand new Connolly Hide beige leather seats, Wilton carpet and West of England cloth headlining to the refurbishment of every switch and dial the cabin has been restored to better than original; a true spectacle.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The engine bay shows pristine presentation alongside strong and reliable performance. Having been subject to a total and complete restoration in which the engine was fully stripped down and rebuilt with new liners, upgraded 9:1 compression pistons and a full rebuild kit from XRN Engineering. A Classic Fabs full 2” stainless sports exhaust complete with custom-made polished manifold looks a work of art whilst perfectly amplifying the straight six sound.

During it’s extensive rebuild the drivetrain has been totally overhauled ensuring this E-Type presents in perfect mechanical health, ready to be admired and enjoyed by it’s next owner.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
What better way to compliment this sensational E-Type than with a brand new set of Curley Hub Competition Chrome 15 x 6 inch 72 spoke wire wheels and chrome spinners. These vintage wheels were provided with all new rubber, now sitting on Dunlop SP Sport tyres.

The braking system has had a significant overhaul to ensure performance is a match for the engine, pulling up quickly and smoothly in a straight line.

HISTORY FILE
Ordered new from Browns Lane in 1965 the original UK owner, a Dr John J Bambridge, would export the car to his new home in Nairobi, Kenya on the 1st April 1966. Repatriated to Europe with the family in 2009 and purchased by Alan Carrington Classic Cars Ltd from Dusseldorf in March 2014.

Subject to a total ‘body off’ nut and bolt restoration, every single invoice is present and correct to account for over 3,000 man hours applied to achieving the best possible result – a simply sublime concours example that’s ready to compete and win trophies. Every part of the car has been stripped down and fully rebuilt to OE specification. Only a handful of sympathetic upgrades differentiate the car from PDI at Browns Lane; an alloy radiator, sundym glass, wider wheels and a stainless exhaust.

Without doubt one of the very best available on the market today and a complete work of art.
