Estimated Price: £22,000 - £28,000

• 1966 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 2+2 Fixed Head Coupe, retaining its matching-numbers engine and presented in Jaguar Dark Blue with a black leather interior
• Fresh to market following an exceptional 51 years of considered ownership, having been acquired by its present custodian in 1975
• The subject of an extensive rebuild some years ago, incorporating numerous replacement panels, sills, arches, rear quarters, boot floor and repairs to the bulkhead
• Importantly, the structural repairs were carried out using the traditional and time-proven method of lead loading, reflecting the considered approach taken throughout the rebuild
• Further expenditure and refurbishment over the years has included a replacement fuel tank, wheel cylinders, radiator core, bumper sections, replacement windscreen and servo overhaul
• The running gear has also received attention, with new springs and shock absorbers, a fully overhauled gearbox and a new set of four chrome wire wheels, fitted with new tyres as required
• The interior has been progressively refreshed where necessary, with continual maintenance throughout the current owner's remarkable period of custodianship
• An increasingly rare opportunity to acquire a matching-numbers Series 1 2+2, offered after more than five decades with its current custodian and providing an interesting basis for further enjoyment or sympathetic development
• Your early inspection is welcomed and encouraged to fully appreciate the opportunity on offer.
