Beschreibung

Enzo Ferrari said this is the most beautiful car ever built at the presentation of the new E-type in 1961. He knew because the first Jaguar series is still unsurpassed.

This rare original Jaguar E-type was delivered in the Netherlands and built in December 1964, it is still an impressive and unparalleled car. From new until now always with the same original number plate FR-26-57, with the original, complete set of tools.

The E-type is in near showroom condition, not in over-restored competition condition. Everything is beautiful, always well maintained and no expense spared so it could always be driven reliably in good weather.

The engine was completely overhauled in the past, all gaskets and seals were recently replaced. No leaks to be seen. The 3 carburettors were also overhauled and the engine runs incredibly pure and powerful.

It has a new Getrag 5 gearbox, it shifts much better than the original gearbox, the original matching Jaguar 4-speed gearbox is also included for purists. This was also overhauled, demonstrable with photos.

The body was sprayed years ago in deep shiny red, with some small imperfections over the years which are barely noticeable. The underside of the car is excellent and very well maintained, new shock absorbers were fitted all around.

A nice detail are the newly restored knock-off wire wheels with classic Michelin 185 VR 15 tyres, the glass fronts over the headlights, the 3 windscreen wipers, the small rear lights, the louvres on the long bonnet, the transversely opened boot lid and the two nicely shaped central exhausts.

With maintenance invoices, a spare parts catalogue, a Jaguar Heritage trust certificate (see photos) indicating it was delivered new in 1965 by Jaguar dealer Lagerwij in The Hague to Mr. P.G. Kuhne, an operating manual, a tuning and preparation booklet for specifications for racing and an old photo of the Jaguar in Amsterdam in the late sixties. Of course with the same original license plate to this day. This E-type drives really fantastic!
